README FIRST - F-111 AARDVARK HUD for FSX - version 1.1

This F-111 PIG HUD panel was created over the past two years.
Initially ideas were added to over come getting lost after
a session of enjoyable flying. It was created for my own use,
however it developed into a incredibly capable configuration,
far beyond my wildest expectations .
Ideas were incorporated from text books on cockpit design and
consideration was given to pilots needs and expectations.

It has become an absolutely amazing aircraft .
Essentially what the F-111 panel would evolve into with
progressive upgrades to modernise from analogue to digital as
technical progress occurred.
The panel includes:
A magnificent HUD with some important extra data .
(dive angle, bank, GS, thrust, nearest box)
The HUD can be selected in all views thus allowing fully
informed control in outside views , in the virtual cockpit it
functions as a helmet visor HUD following the panning.
The Hud has been configured to allow crisp and precise
flying down to 10' above ground level at speeds of 350-550 kts.
A autopilot in a prime location .
Three MFDs with about 18 selectable pages of displays and data.
Two full time GPS map displays , with 2 more pop up types.
The massive amount of data that these instruments display is
far beyond what is usual in flight simulation. It covers fuels
and weights, etc, but primarily it provides flight speeds ,
attitudes , times ,distances for both flying and navigating ,
it is IFR equipped and has a facility to list the nearest 7 and
16 airports as well as being able to give distance , bearing
and a steering arrow ,which is repeated on the HUD ,these
elements together with runway data can be called up for
any airport world wide by entering the ICAO.
Clipboard is a 8 pge ICAO and ILS listing to facilitate entry
in radio,Nearest and 'Direct to' while in flight.
The GPS maps display both Flt plans and Direct to graphically .
The intention of this panel was to minimise the need for
pop up screens .
Included are 2 instruments that give ILS style approach to
landing guidance to airports that do not have radio aids.
It has a pilots and bombardiers panel as well as a virtual
cockpit. The virtual does not have a dedicated background.
It is fitted with TFR .
Effects are bombs , missiles , flares , a new uniform Dump and
Burn , also it has dual 3D long exhaust plumes .
It includes aircraft carrier fitout for catapult and
arrestor work ,if you already have carriers with
catapult/arrestor capability then it will work , it is no more
difficult to fly in that role than any other military aircraft.
The beauty of this aircraft panel combination is that it
enables the pilot to develop beyond what is usually possible
in the flight simulator .
Another great feature of it is that you can have a lot of fun
flying with it in between the serious stuff.
It incorporates several camera views.
It comes with a 40 page Flight Manual in PDF format, together
with ample reference documentation .
A must have for those with an interest in flying and more so
for those with an interest in military aircraft .
Another destinct feature is that it results in a second
separate F-111 aircraft , thereby allowing you to continue to
enjoy the original with its analogue panel.
You will be amazed at the presentation and the amount of
information it provides.

NOW ADDS new Air to Air intercept and ground contour mapping
Radar with nominated AI target aircraft data displayed in both
HUD and the Radar screen.
Also newly configured Sound with toned down levels .
